Extracurricular Activities
Students at SFXCS have the opportunity to get involved in many different after school activities. From sports, to music to speech and debate, there is something for everyone!

Children’s Coir & Piano Lessons
The St. Francis Xavier Children’s Choir is open to all interested students in 4th – 8th grade who are students of our school or in our parish community. Rehearsals occur Friday afternoons September – May. The choir sings once per month at Sunday Masses and has a Spring & Fall concert.
Piano lessons are also given to interested students.

Concert Band
Students at St. Francis Xavier Catholic School in 4th – 8th grade can take music lessons though Delone Catholic High School. Lessons are given during the day, with practices in the evening at DCHS.

CYO Sports
Our competitive basketball and girls volleyball programs are open to all SFX School students in grades 2 – 8, as well students in the SFX Parish Religious Education Program (PREP). Students enrolled in Religious Education programs at other area Catholic Parishes are encouraged to sign up.

Girl Scouts
Girl Scouts help young girls not only grow in confidence, but foster a love of learning and friendships. SFXCS offers a small troop that meets on campus for interested girls.

Junior National Honor Society
Students who demonstrate excellence in academics, leadership, service, character, and citizenship have the opportunity to apply for membership in the Junior National Honor Society. Membership reflects a well-rounded student dedicated to both personal growth and the betterment of their community.

Liturgical Ministries
Students can service both God and community by participating in the Liturgical Ministries. As altar servers, students can serve at our all school Masses

Speech & Debate
Students in grades 6th – 8th can join the Speech and Debate Club. Clubs like Speech and Debate help students enhance their communication skills, while also boosting their confidence. Students in grades 7th and 8th also have the opportunity to participate in the Diocesan competition in April.

Student Council
Student Council councils helps to create a more positive school environment and hosts student led community service initiatives. Meetings are held after school on the 1st Monday of the month.

Yearbook
Our Yearbook Committee not only preserves the important memories from the school year, but the students also gain an opportunity to develop valuable graphic design and creative skills.
