Sports offered at St. Francis Xavier Catholic School

Basketball (Boys & Girls)

St. Francis Xavier offers CYO basketball for students in 2nd-8th grades. CYO practices start in October, with games beginning in December. Students in 7th and 8th grade also have the opportunity to play basketball with Delone Catholic High School on their Junior High teams.

Football (Boys only)

Boys in 7th and 8th grade have the opportunity to play with Delone Catholic High School on their Junior High football team.

Bitty Ball (Co-ed)

A developmental basketball program for youth in Pre-Kindergarten - 2nd grade, emphasizing skill development in a fun, positive environment. Practices are Saturday mornings in December – February.

Wrestling (Boys only)

Boys in 7th and 8th grade have the opportunity to compete with Delone Catholic High School on their Junior High wrestling team.

Cross Country (Co-ed)

St. Francis Xavier offers Cross Country for students in 5th-8th grades. Boys and Girls in 7th and 8th grade also have the opportunity to run with Delone Catholic High School on their Junior High team.

Volleyball (Girls Only)

Our CYO team (Grades 5 & 6) competes in the Hanover-area CYO Volleyball League. Games games begin in April, with practices starting in March. St. Francis Xavier also offers Intramural Volleyball (Grades 3 &4). This program is a developmental volleyball program for younger players with an emphasis on skill development. Practices begin in March. Girls in 7th and 8th grade also have the opportunity to play volleyball with Delone Catholic High School on their Junior High team.

2025-2026 Raider Basketball Registration is Open!

Welcome to the 2025- 26 season of St. Francis Xavier Raider basketball! Our competitive basketball programs are open to all SFX School students in grades 2 - 8, as well students in the SFX Parish Religious Education Program (PREP). Students enrolled in Religious Education programs at other area Catholic Parishes are encouraged to sign up. Practices are set to begin in mid- to late-October. Typically, teams practice 2 - 3 times per week. Games begin in early December, and the season concludes in late February.
