The purpose of this Handbook is to inform you of the mission of our school as well as our rules, policies, and procedures. We believe that you can contribute much to the success of the school's programs if you understand what the school is trying to accomplish. The education and training of our children is the joint responsibility of the home as well as the school. Please read the entire handbook in order to acquaint yourself with its contents. If your child is old enough, read this book with him/her.
Suggestions for improvement of the handbook are always appreciated.
Medical Authorization Forms
If your child needs prescription medication, you will need to print out and complete the Prescription Medication Authorization Form below. This form must be signed at school in front of Mrs. Yeingst. Please make sure you read and send in both pages of the Medical Prescription Form.
St. Francis Xavier Catholic School CYO Registration 2017-2018
Welcome to a new year for the Saint Francis Xavier Athletic Association! We are looking forward to another year of healthy activity and Christian fellowship for our youth and families. CYO (Christian Youth Organization) is open to students enrolled in the St. Francis Xavier School or St Francis Xavier School of Religious Education, and to students who are active members of other parishes that do not offer CYO Basketball. Again this year, we will offer the following programs:
Biddy Basketball for boys and girls in Pre-K (4’s) through 2nd grade
CYO Basketball for boys and girls in 3rd through 8th grades
Cheerleading for 5th through 8th grades
Girls and Boys Volleyball for grades 5th thru 8th (spring season)
Intramural Volleyball grades 3 and 4 (spring season)
Registration is only available online. (Link listed below.) This will allow for a quicker turnaround time on registration. If necessary, computers will be available for registration during the Back to School Night. (If these dates do not work for you or registering online is a problem, please contact, Sherry Grenchiklittleway2@gmail.com.)
You will still need to submit a hard copy of the Permission to Treat for each participant, which will be provided by the coaches or at Back to School Night. The deadline for basketball and volleyball registration is September 21st. Any registration submitted after September 21st is SUBJECT TO REJECTION and will also be assessed a $10 late fee per player. As a volunteer organization, we are in need of many volunteers to make our programs available. Please take the time to become involved. Many lasting friendships have been forged through shared work! The clearances required by the Diocese of Harrisburg are required for all volunteers who work with the youth of our parish. These clearances are required for any volunteer work you might do at the school or parish so it would be beneficial for everyone to have them.
Please complete and return with the required fees to St. Francis School office or by mail to: St. Francis Xavier School, Athletic Association, 465 Table Rock Road, Gettysburg, PA 17325.
